We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of such modifications.

2. Description of Service

Commit To X is a service that automatically generates AI-enhanced social media posts from your GitHub commit messages. The Service integrates with your GitHub account to access repository information and uses artificial intelligence to transform commit messages into shareable social media content.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use Commit To X, you must:

Have a valid GitHub account
Be at least 13 years of age
Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

All activities that occur under your account
Maintaining the confidentiality of your access tokens
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
Ensuring your use complies with these Terms

4. GitHub Integration and Permissions

By connecting your GitHub account, you grant Commit To X permission to:

Access your public and private repository information (if authorized)
Read commit messages and metadata from connected repositories
Access your GitHub profile information

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your GitHub account settings or by disconnecting repositories within Commit To X.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use Commit To X to:

Generate social media posts from your own commit messages
Share generated content on your social media accounts
Edit and customize generated posts before sharing

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use Commit To X to:

Generate content that violates any laws or regulations
Share false, misleading, or deceptive information
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Violate intellectual property rights
Attempt to circumvent security measures or access controls
Use the Service for automated spam or bulk posting
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
Generate content that is hateful, discriminatory, or harmful

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to your commit messages and generated posts. By using Commit To X, you grant us a limited license to process your commit messages solely for the purpose of generating enhanced social media posts.

6.2 Generated Content

AI-generated posts are created using your commit messages as input. While we strive for accuracy and quality, you are responsible for reviewing and approving all generated content before sharing publicly.

6.3 Commit To X Intellectual Property

Commit To X, its logo, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of Commit To X is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Subscription and Payment Terms

8.1 Free and Paid Plans

Commit To X offers both free and paid subscription plans. Plan features, limitations, and pricing are described on our pricing page and may change with notice.

8.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
Payment is due immediately upon subscription
You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically
Failed payments may result in service interruption

8.3 Refunds

We offer refunds within 14 days of initial subscription purchase. After 14 days, all payments are non-refundable. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

8.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent periods after cancellation.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

9.1 Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to Commit To X. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with or without notice. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that negatively impact your use.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Accuracy, reliability, or quality of generated content
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Security or freedom from viruses or harmful components

You use Commit To X at your own risk. We do not warrant that generated posts will be suitable for your specific needs or comply with third-party platform policies.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Commit To X SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
Service interruptions or data loss
Unauthorized access to your account
Actions taken based on generated content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Commit To X harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your violation of these Terms
Your use or misuse of the Service
Content you generate or share using Commit To X
Your violation of any third-party rights

13. Third-Party Services and Links

Commit To X integrates with third-party services including GitHub, OpenAI, and Supabase. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, content, or practices.

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using the account deletion feature.

14.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

Violate these Terms or our policies
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Fail to pay subscription fees
Create risk or legal liability for us

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your access to the Service will cease immediately
Your data will be deleted within 30 days (except as required by law)
You remain liable for any outstanding fees
Sections of these Terms that should survive will continue to apply

15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15.2 Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Commit To X shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive your right to a jury trial or class action.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Commit To X regarding the Service.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor.
